Only Clear glass filter (Astronomik) for CCD protection was used. My first positve occultation result with the new IOTA-VTI device (Prototype P4). The recently developed IOTA-VTI device was presented first to the public in May 2011. Video evaluation accomplished with VirtualDub 1.9.7 and Tangra v1.3.0.409. Because of the use of a WAT-120N camera in integration mode frame16 (It=640ms) an additional correction of -350ms was made to the video inserted times according to the correction value table at: http://www.dangl.at/ausruest/vid_tim/vid_tim1.htm#wat_120n Predicted event time was 00:33:40 UTC for my observing position. Predicted maximum duration was 10.9 seconds with a 0.5mag drop. Position was 74km from predicted central line in NW direction between center line and path edge with a probability of 55.5%. Occultation event with a duration of 8.32s detected (It=640ms). 3-D Position and timing GlobalSat EM-406A GPS Board inside of the IOTA-VTI Receiving 07 satellites Horizontal Dilution of Precision 1.2 Geoidal separation 44.6m (Altitude 560.4MSL + 44.6 = 594.4 m in WGS84 datum) Gerhard Dangl gerhard@dangl.at www.dangl.at/ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+
