Only Clear glass filter (Astronomik) for CCD protection was used. Because of a cloud layer I decided the usage of the WAT-120N with integration feature. About 10 seconds before occultation start the moving clouds densitiy was rising again. So I had to increase the integration time very fast to 160ms with cable controll. Otherwise this occultation event would have got lost at my location. Video evaluation accomplished with VirtualDub 1.10.0 and Tangra 3.5.3 Because of the use of a WAT-120N CCIR in integration mode Frame4 (It=160ms), a correction of -110ms was performed at the times inserted in the video by the VTI. The correction value is according to measurements results with EXposure Time Analyzer - EXTA. http://www.dangl.at/exta/exta_e.htm So all event times in this report are corrected times representing the real event times in UTC. Event data details according to the predictions from IOTA (Steve Preston). Predicted event time was 19:13:14 UTC (+/- 1s) for my observing position. Predicted maximum duration was 14.6 seconds with a 1.0mag drop. Position was 45km from predicted central line in NNW direction between center line and path edge with a probability of 100%. Occultation event detected with duration 14.56s +/-0.18s (It=0.160s). 3-D Position and timing Garmin GPS18x LVC Receiving 09 satellites Horizontal Dilution of Precision 0.9 Geoidal separation 44.5m (Altitude 544.5MSL + 44.5 = 589.0 m in WGS84 datum) Gerhard Dangl gerhard@dangl.at www.dangl.at/ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+
