On 12 September 2006 the moon occulted the starcluster of the Plejades (M45). Preparation and predictions for observation were done some days before this event. Assembling of equipment started on 12 September 2006 at 18:30 UTC. In northern Austria first occultations took place during the moonrise. From 20:00 to 22:00 UTC the recording of 20 events was scheduled. One graze occultation, two total disappearances and seventeen reappearances on the west dark side of the moon.
The graze event did not happen and the star SAO 76216 was always visible over moon horizon. The two disappearances of SAO 76199 and SAO 76228 were recorded but exact timing of a star disappearance is always very difficult on the bright side of the moon. So definition of disappearances times was only within some seconds. Three of the seventeen scheduled reappearances were missed by me due to late video record start after changing telescope orientation. But on fourteen reappearance events I had success. Video and data evaluation was done by me in many hours and here are the results.
